The Diamond Jenness Secondary School has been in service for over 35 years. The building needed extensive modernization in order to extend its service life, reduce costs for operation and maintenance, and meet new educational program requirements.

In addition to renovating the school the project also included construction of a new free-standing Trades Centre.
