There are two laws that govern the GNWT records management program.

1. Archives Act

2. Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act

Other laws may affect how departments and agencies look after their records.

Policies and Procedures

The Records Management Unit develops procedures and guidelines for recorded information management in the GNWT. It also develops policies for approval by the Informatics Policy Committee.






These forms are for GNWT departments and agencies that want to send records to or retrieve records from the Records Centre.
