Location: Outside the main airport terminal building.
Description: Non-energized parking stalls
Parking rates: The fees to park a vehicle are:
$0 for less than one hour
$1 for each hour or portion of an hour after the first hour the vehicle is parked, to a maximum of $15 for a 24 hour period
$15 for each 24 hour period to a maximum of $75 for a week
$75 for each week to a maximum of $225 for a month.
How to pay: Users receive a ticket when entering the parking lot and pay prior to leaving the lot, inside the terminal or at the parking lot exit. If paying inside the terminal the machine accepts cash, debit, VISA, and Mastercard. If paying at the parking lot exit, the machine accepts debit, VISA, and Mastercard.
If parked under an hour, no need to validate your ticket. Proceed to exit gate and scan you ticket to exit.
Parking lot B
Location: On Bristol Avenue, directly across the street from Air Tindi and Braden Burry Expediting.
Description: Energized parking stalls
Parking rates: The fee to park a vehicle is $7.50 for each 24 hour period to a maximum of $150 for each month.
How to pay: Payment can be made at the parking lot exit. The machine accepts Visa and Mastercard.
Street-side parking C
Location: Street-side parking areas are located along Bristol Avenue.
Parking rates: The fee to park in the street-side parking areas is $5 per day
How to pay: Payments can only be paid using the free Pay By Phone app.
Overflow parking C
Location: At the entrance of Yellowknife Airport
Description: Non-energized overflow parking area to be used only when the short-term parking lot has reached capacity and is closed.
Vehicles parked in the overflow area outside of the above parameters, may be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.
Cellphone waiting area
If you are waiting to pick someone up, wait in the cellphone waiting area. Arriving passengers can contact you by cellphone after they’ve claimed their luggage and are waiting outside the airport.
Lost parking stub fee / Receipt request
There is an automatic fee for any lost parking tickets.
To submit a request for a receipt or refund lost ticket:

- Email completed form to YZFAR@gov.nt.ca
