The Elevator and Lifts Section—in accordance with territorial and federal legislation—is responsible for establishing and interpreting the Elevators and Lifts Act, codes, standards and regulations to ensure installation and product safety compliance of all elevators, lifts and amusement rides within the Northwest Territories.
