Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program
Overview
This program supports the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the Northwest Territories. Eligible locations include:
- Public places and street parking
- Multi-unit residential buildings
- Workplaces
- Light-duty vehicle fleet facilities
Funding is provided by the GNWT and the Government of Canada under the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). Funding Details
Applicants may receive:
- Up to 50% of eligible project costs
- Maximum of $7,500 per Level 2 connector
- Maximum of $99,999 per Level 3 fast charger
Eligibility
Open to incorporated or registered entities in Canada, including:
- Businesses and industries
- Utilities (electricity/gas)
- Academic or research institutions
- Community and Indigenous governments
- GNWT departments, agencies, Crown corporations, and affiliates
How to Apply
- Review the Program Guide
- Choose your application stream:
- Simplified Application: Up to 2 Level 2 connectors
- Detailed Application: 3 or more Level 2 connectors or any Level 3 chargers
- Complete and submit the required forms and documents:
- Application Form
- Proposal Form (for Detailed Applications only)
- Supporting documents
